AI is fine for facts and ideas, but some things need a real person: big feelings, feeling unsafe, or a secret that feels heavy.
AI is a great helper for a lot of things β facts, ideas, homework hints, silly stories. But some moments are too important for a chatbot. For those, the smartest thing you can do is close the chat and talk to a real human.
Why a human? Because a person can truly care, really understand, and actually help β call someone, give you a hug, keep you safe. An AI can only make caring-sounding words. For the big stuff, that's not enough.
Talk to a trusted human when:
Who counts as a trusted human? A parent, a grandparent, a teacher, a school counselor, a coach β a grown-up who helps you feel safe. It helps to know two or three before you ever need them.
A chatbot might even say "talk to someone." Good AI will sometimes tell you to reach out to a trusted adult or a helpline. That's your cue β listen to it, and go find your person.
Remember: AI is fine for facts, but real feelings and real safety need real people. Asking a human for help is never weak β it's the bravest, smartest move there is. Be curious, not careless!
