AI & Me Beginner
A chatbot can feel friendly, but it isn't a person. It has no feelings and doesn't really know you — real feelings are for real people.
Some AI chatbots are made to feel like a friend. They remember your name, ask how your day was, and always have time to talk. It can feel really nice! But it's worth knowing the truth: an AI can be friendly, but it isn't a person.
What AI actually is. A chatbot is a very clever program that predicts friendly-sounding words. It doesn't have feelings, it doesn't get lonely, and it doesn't truly know you the way a friend does. It can act caring, but there's no one really there caring back.
Why that matters. Two reasons:
AI can still be great! Asking a chatbot for ideas, help with homework, or a fun story is totally fine. The key is remembering what it is: a helpful tool, not a best friend.

Every tap changes something. The trick isn't fear — it's noticing. After you say “yes,” ask: what just changed?
You understand something best when you can teach it. Finish these out loud — to a friend, a grown-up, a little brother or sister, or even the mirror:
